History of the NBA


The NBA was founded in 1964 by the owners of the main halls of the Northeast and Midwest . For example, the Madison Square Garden in New York. The first teams that started the league were the Boston Celtics , Philadelphia Warriors, New York Knicks, Washington Capitols , Providence Steamrollers , Toronto Huskies, Chicago Stags , St. Louis Bombers , Cleveland Rebels , Detroit Falcons and Pittsburgh Ironmen . Of these eleven teams only three of them are now in the NBA : Boston Celtics , New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors. Of these three teams , only one change from the city , Golden State Warriors.

In 1950 the Integration of NBA was , with the incorporation of the First African players to the league , were: Chuck Cooper (Boston Celtics) , Nat " Sweetwater " Clifton (New York Knicks ) and Earl Lloyd ( Washington Capitols ) .


In 1959 the center Wilt Chamberlain entered the league and in little time he do 100 points in one match.
